Power and Source
The wonders of moving house. Amongst my detritus I found an old photo album I bought at Pompey car boot sale a number of years ago.On going through it I thought it might be an interesting project to cycle round and retake photos from the same vantage points (where possible).
Power and Source is the title of one of the photographs – a shot of coal arriving on Sallyport to feed the powerstation which was once opposite the IOW ferry terminal. I studied psychology in what was once the control room of the power station.

I’m off to Portchester tomorrow to record an interview with a gentleman who remembers the D-Day embarkation from Southsea in 1944 when he was 6 years old…amongst many other things! I’m looking forward to adding his words to the field recordings I made the other day.
